Welcome to WalkieDog! This is the first public release of the app. Here's everything you can do from day one:
🗺️ GPS Walk Tracking
- Track your walks in real time with an interactive map (OpenStreetMap).
- Live distance counter (km), duration timer, and GPS quality indicator.
- Step counter using your device's pedometer.
- Background tracking — GPS stays active when you minimize the app or lock the screen.
- Smart GPS filtering with Kalman filter, jump detection, and automatic recovery on signal loss.
- Route colored by GPS quality (green = good, orange = fair, red = poor).
- Confetti celebration when you finish a walk 🎉.
- Share your walk summary as an image with map, stats, and participants.
🐕 Pet Management
- Create detailed profiles for your dogs: name, breed, sex, birthday, size, and more.
- Catalog of over 100 breeds with localized names.
- Custom photo per dog, stored on the device.
- Individual walk history per pet.
📖 Walk History
- Paginated list of all your walks.
- Walk detail view with the full route on a map.
- Delete synced or local walks.
- Offline storage — if there's no connection, walks are saved and synced later.
🔐 Authentication
- Sign up and log in with email and password.
- Sign in with Google (OAuth2).
- Password recovery via email.
- Persistent session with JWT tokens.
👤 User Profile
- Edit your profile: name, username, email, gender, country, and birthday.
- Change your password.
- Link or unlink your Google account.
- Permanently delete your account and all your data.
⚙️ Settings
- Light / dark theme (follows system preference on first launch).
- Language: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Dutch, and Korean.
- Floating, draggable Quick Walk button to start walks instantly.
